Sometimes you may find, depending on your computer configuration, that the studio design software does not load and continues to show the loading icon. If you experience this, usually it is either an Anti-Virus, or Firewall rule, blocking the software.
Antivirus - Firewall
Most common loading issues are down to the connection being blocked. You can first try disabling your anti-virus or firewall software to check that you can then connect. If this allows connection, you have narrowed down the issue and can start to resolve your connection issue.
You can add our website into your internet firewall rules, allowing incoming and outbound connections. As our software will need full access to be able to allow uploads for your images in order to create your designs. If you have disallowed the connection in or out to us then the software cannot communicate with you.
Try an alternative Browser
Alternatively try a different browser. Our software is memory intensive and sometimes if your computer or laptop is older and does not have enough memory, this may get blocked at your side as your computer tries to manage its memory resources. Using a different browser may help this - we recommend CHROME as our system was developed for this specifically. Ensure that any browser you are using is correctly configured and is the latest version.
Mac OS - Safari
Older versions of MacOS and Safari will need updating, ensure that are running the latest OS and safari software. Memory may be an issue here as Safari also wants to allocate a lot of system memory, try an alternative browser. Ensure that any browser you are using is correctly configured and is the latest version.
JavaScript
Our software relies heavily on Java scripting and Flex technology. You can check you are running the latest version of JavaScript or your computer/browser rules on handling JavaScript connections. Our site is 100% secure with SSL certification, you can be assured that your connection to us will be safe. You should be able to enable JS for our website if you do not wish to enable it globally
Bit Defender
Most AV/FW software allows the service to load, however, BITDEFENDER does not. We have informed BITDEFENDER of this, but as of yet, this rule has not been added to the inclusion list.
You can manually add the exclusion following these steps:
- Open Bitdefender dashboard
- Go to "Settings"
- Go to "Protection"
- Go to "Exceptions" >>manage exceptions
- Press "Add an exception"
- Enter the path …. https://www.colourcalendars.com/studio/Scripts/studio_1.js?1601291614
- Press "Save" and the job is done!
Unfortunately we cannot provide IT services to your home or work computer, you can however contact your local IT expert or system administrator to help you with this issue.
We can advise you if you get really stuck, but cannot remote or visit your premises to resolve this.
