You can make simple changes to your images using Photoshop to ensure that they are correctly formatted. This can be done by a few simple steps.
1. Go to the EDIT menu
2. Choose ‘Colour Settings’
3. In the ‘Settings’ section, the best-chosen preset is Europe Prepress 3 – this will adjust your ICC profile o the coated Fogra39 profile for CMYK images which is what we then use when we are printing
4. Once you have completed the above, you need to open all your images
5. To convert them, use the image menu header and choose > Mode > CMYK, by selecting this, your images will then be converted to the correct colour for printing.
6. You will then need to adjust your colours and balance / saturation and what you then see on the screen will resemble what gets printed
It is best to check the resolution for printing which should be 300dpi.
If you then save all your images in a JPEG format, you can use these in your design online. JPEG format assists in keeping the file size down for creating your calendars on our website. You can also upload your images in PNG files; however, any other files may not be suitable to upload.
